MEGANE II - Front Fender - Head Lamp

With the front fender, I have a good opportunity to try NURBS. Unlike the rest of the car shapes, rather.....the front has some curves and more complex shapes.

We have been warned about NURBS : no NURBS. So, I just begin working with them as an experiment, with the idea to cut them in the end to get simple Bezier patches. But it doesn't work as expected. In NURBS only, the result is very clean. When I convert to Bezier and rebuild it, problems occur and it takes a lot of time. I also have to make the front lamp. So, when the deadline comes, I give the NURBS model for the milling.

The day after, while the milling is being done, the office chief realizes that the model is in NURBS. It's too late.
The milling is painted with the standard grey satin and for the first time, a high glossy polish is added. They are convinced that the model will be covered of surface defaults, and they did the maximum to emphasize them. And...There's no default. Quite the contrary, the glossy polish reflects the neons grid from the ceiling, just like the zebras on Alias. The flam S shape is fluid. It disappears smoothly just before the front lamp.
The project manager who doesn't care about technical details just says : I take it.
